Setting a Master Valve Override

Lance Elliott Updated May 5, 2026 1 min read

Master Valve Override will manually open the master valves for a period of time to allow water to flow through the system without triggering a mainline break alert.  When a normally open master valve is in use, it will remain open once the override is complete, and standard alert monitoring will resume.  A common scenario would be while using a quick coupler.

A Master Valve Override duration cannot exceed 8 hours.

Also, note that if a Master Valve Override is set to occur during a program start time, the Master Valve Override takes precedence, and the scheduled program will not run.
