Troubleshooting Flash Failure Message

Updated August 27, 2024 1 min read

The message, “Flash Failure”, is created when the following occurs:

  1. The SPI flash does not respond during power up
  2. A configuration file written comes back with a checksum
    1. Message is automatically cleared once the above failure conditions do not occur
    2. Under rare conditions the SPI flash can become unresponsive and will require the power to be cycled to become responsive again. A controller reset will not fix this unresponsive state.
    3. If this message does not go away after a power cycle, then the display board will need to be repaired.

For other messages, please refer to the 1000 ERS.
