Station High Flow Alert Test - Troubleshooting

The Station High Flow Alert and Manager High Flow Alert Test is a powerful new tool added to Mobile 3.6 and can be read about here in this article.

There are a few scenarios that might confuse and, therefore, a call to support. This will contain a few questions and responses and will be added to if more arise. 


When it tests the Mainline, it takes twice as long or will countdown the Delay time twice. 

This is by design. The Mainline and the first station on the list will open first. They will run for the duration of the Delay time. Then the first station in the list will close, and the Mainline (master valve) will stay open for the same duration of the Delay time. This explains the double runtime. In a future 3.6.1 release, we will reveal the time total so there's less confusion. 

I ran the test, but every station measured 0 gpm (zero).

This happens when there is another alert present that prevents mainline operation. For example, a Mainline Break Alert. If there is a Mainline Break Alert, the master valve will not open, so when the test takes place, no flow will be measured and reported. The alert that is preventing the stations or mainline from operating will have to be resolved first. The test is meant to reveal station high flow, so anything that is not considered high flow will pass. In a future 3.6.1 release, we will introduce two new icons that will show "no flow" and "low flow" to better communicate to the user.

My stations measured low flow but still received a green checkmark indicating it passed.

I don't see a Test button for my Station High Flow Alert.

The Station High Flow Alert test is only available for OptiFlow enabled controllers, and the alert must contain more than one station as part of the alert. If the alert only has a single station, it will not be testable as we already know which station has caused the alert.
