Signal Test Kit for Site Survey

Lance Elliott Updated May 11, 2026 2 min read

LTE Signal Test Kit is a network scanner used to identify which bands and carriers are available on the site. Band availability depends on nearest cell tower, topography, etc.  This helps Customers:

  • measure the local signal strength (RSRP) and quality (RSRQ) to ensure signal meets system connection requirements
  • identify strongest and best carrier and band, which determines which SIM and antenna to use
  • identifies location of cell tower for angling directional antennas.

We recommend all Customers perform this signal test prior to purchasing a controller or antenna to amplify the signal. This is the only way to ensure the controller will be able to connect to our cloud for ET updates.
