Overview
The FM200 flow monitor is shipped with updated firmware. From time to time a new version of firmware will be released to address hardware and firmware issues effecting devices that are already installed in the field.
The Project Support Specialist team can update the device firmware over the air (OTA) to address potential issues in the field.
Over the air firmware updates will take approximately 20 minutes to complete and will require the field technician to work directly with the PSS during the firmware update.
The PSS will use the WaterSIgnal admin tool to push the OTA firmware update to the FM200 device via cellular connection. Once the FW update is ready to push, the onsite field technician will have to swap the magnet on the device to initiate the FW download.
