Factory Reset
I
If necessary to reset the SubStation to factory defaults, follow the steps below. This should only be used in special circumstances when other options are not possible.
- Locate and write down the SubStation serial number and save it for later use
- If the SubStation firmware version is currently 2.1 you must first upgrade the SubStation to the latest version
- Reboot the device and launch the bootloader
- To reboot the device either power cycle or press the reset button on the back side of the display next to the ribbon cable.
- Once in the bootloader press the second from the lower left button to reset to factory settings. To confirm the factory reset you next press the “Run” menu button. NOTE* The button is not marked on the front label. Use the image below to locate it.
The bootloader is accessed by holding down the lower two menu buttons while the device is booting. You must hold them down before rebooting and until the bootloader screen is shown as in the image below. NOTE* The buttons are not marked on the front label. Use the image below to locate them.
- Wait until the factory reset is done. This will take about 20 seconds
- Once done press the “Run” menu button again to boot the SubStation
- The IOT server address will now be set to iot.baselineapps.net
- Be sure to set the serial number back to the orginal recorded earlier. The serial number can be set under the System Setup → System Settings menu.
- If SubStation devices were already assigned to a 3200 you must perform a search to fix assignments on the SubStation because of the factory reset.
