This article will walk you through the workaround for ES-1422/ES-1599
Symptom: OXR replacement panels not collecting flow data. When OptiFlow replacement panels are being installed and activated, the flow data collector feature is not being turned on (or is being turned off) after the copy config and transfer replace are being done. Controller can still measure flow on panel and when updating operating status however flow data is not being collected.
The reported symptom will stem specifically from OptiFlow customers that have 8.X.X XR panels. The customer will state that the system is not triggering High-Low-or No flow alerts. Even when they validated that a POC is configured in the hydraulic tree.
Customer Impact:
Due to flow data not being collected, flow reports like the OptiFlow Mainline usage report do not display measured usage which prevents customers from managing their flow data. Flow alerts are also not being triggered when they should be, which can cause site issue when there are breaks/leaks.
Scope of Issue/Impact: Issue seems to be impacting replacement OptiFlow panels.
Workaround Resolution: Workaround for now is to remove and then reassign the POC on the mainline in order to re-enable flow collection. Follow the steps below or escalate to Tier 2 if necessary.
Steps to resolve in order:
- Start in the Program page in WT central.
- Copy the controller serial number.

- Go to the Configure page and paste the serial number in the controller list on the left.

- Then click on one of the program settings gears. (this will help you find the mainline and POC assignment for this controller)

- Click the settings Gear for the mainline.

Edit the mainline, remove the POC and save (best practice is to take a screen shot of the Mainline and POC settings before you remove the POC in question)
CAUTION!
As there could be multiple Controller assigned to the POC, only remove the POC of the controller that you are trying to resolve

- Edit the mainline, re-add the POC(S) and save. By doing this it will enable the Flow collector and will now generate station base flow alerts during scheduled irrigation.
